Where the giant's kids play

Miss Daisy's Hyde Park

It is rare to get an opportunity to work on a beautiful garden space in the heart of central London within shouting distance of Hyde Park. Miss Daisy's Hyde Park was operating out of a series of wood cabins, set in a gorgeous green haven, where corridors are outdoors. Hacing out grown their space, a new purpose built classroom cabin was needed with a smart approach to a new abd imaginative playstructure. Using every trick in the book for a swift turnaround, we created foundations for the cabin using ground screws to avoid the root protection areas of the mature trees and keep our carbon foot print low, and using prefabricated panels meant our new classroom could appear overnight. To truly give this site a one of a kind installation, we created a spectacular five meter high, three storey play structure reminiscint of a children's forests den. Alongside this, we relandscaped areas to create controled zones of monitor and play, from a practical rubber mulch play floor to the calming and bee friendly wild flower meadow.

"James & Anna always bring warmth, fun & a wow factor" -  Zanna Clarke, Principal of Miss Daisy's Nursery Schools.
