We take the serious stuff seriously
House of Kin offer a complete, thorough and we’re gonna say it - borderline obsessive end-to-end commercial spatial design service.
Once we’ve set eyes on a space and realised its potential for play, we get stuck in and won’t leave until it’s done. Like, properly done. Snot-proof surfaces, bespoke furniture, batteries in the wall clocks and bins under the reception desk.
Yep. We do absolutely everything from the concept and design to the fit-out and finishing touches.

01// Let’s get curious
We always offer a no-obligations design call to see if we're a good fit.
You can book that here.
We'll ask a lot of questions about your space, who uses it and what you think it could do better.
Then we'll put together a proposal, taking into account all the important bits like your clientele, accessibility, your budget and what you want the new space to do for your business.
02// The Creative World Brand Book
Furniture, fixtures and equipment are great, we love ‘em - but designing on Pinterest-worthy features alone doesn’t equal design that lasts or even works for the people using the space.
So we visit your space, and we crawl, we leap, we inhale, we stare up at ceilings and question whether we can fit a hidden hammock in this corner or that one.
We touch, feel and imagine ourselves as the kids who will soon be playing there, and the grown-ups who’ll be nearby with their feet up or their laptops out.

03// The nitty gritty
Once you’re happy with the concept and our plans for your space, our drawings get technical, and we move your project into the developed design stage.
We start planning lighting, accessibility, finishes, layouts, and all the other invisible design engineering that turns your space from vision to play-packed reality.
04// The bit where it all becomes real
This is the loud, dusty, exciting part where the story we’ve designed together leaps off the pages and into your space.
We have a host of experienced tradespeople that we call upon to support the manufacture, build and installation - and for our international clients, we work with excellent local project managers too.
Play safety standards are just that: standard. Our creations always comply with the local building regulations in your region.

05// Through the wardrobe
At last, the reimagined world emerges, phoenix-like, a brand new place to play - ready to entice tiny hands and bigger hands and probably your hands too, because now you’re just as play-obsessed as we are.

Everyone loved the space, and our conversion rate has shot up. It's just a lovely space; everyone gets what they want out of it. If House of Kin were not part of this process, it wouldn't look like it does now. They were hands in, sleeves rolled up, and they cared - they really cared.
